Address
In his 2007-2008 Policy Address Today, Chief
Executive Donald Tsang outlined a full range of healthcare
initiatives. Among the many reforms, Mr Tsang laid down plans
to explore public-private partnership and develop a Hong Kong-wide,
patient-oriented electronic health record. These are
initiatives and projects that the eHealth Consortium have been
spearheading and advocating over the past few years, and we are
extremely pleased to hear of the Chief Executive's support in
adopting these healthcare measures and formazlizing them into his
Policy Address. Looking ahead, we can expect even closer and stronger
collaboration amongst the Member Organizations of the Consortium
with the endorsement from this current CE Policy. On behalf of
the Consortium, we would like to take this opportunity to express
our sincere thanks to you for your continued support and trust that
we will continue to contribute to enhance Public Healthcare for the
overall benefit of all.
