Symposium and Exhibition on Digital Hospital and Electronic Medical
Record Application", h eld on 25 - 27
July 2007 in Beijing was jointly organized by the Ministry of
Science and Technology (MOST), the Ministry of Health of the PRC,
the Ministry of Information Industry of the PRC, iProA, together
with two other industry associations of the Mainland. With
pleasure, the eHealth Consortium took part in the effort as a
supporting organization. Aimed to promote digitization of medication service
in the Mainland, the Symposium provided a platform for the major
digital hospitals of the Mainland and the ICT copanies from Hong
Kong, mainland China, and other parts of the world to explore
collaboration opportunities and exchange views on teh application of
technology to enhance the quality of healthcare. At the exhibition, pioneer technology applied to
healthcare services, record management, and service operations were
showcased. It provided a valuable opportunity for the
delegates to appreciate the values of technology as enabler to
enhance quality of healthcare. Through the exchange of
dialogues and showcase between the healthcare and the ICT
industries, the event will foster a greater collaboration between
Hong Kong and Mainland in ehealth development.
